Services

Plaza Services Limited exists to provide support and promote independent living to the greatest extent possible to our service users. Our registration with the Care Quality Commission enables us to provide care in the following regulated activity, as defined in the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and Care Act 2014.

  • Personal Care

The list below identifies the Age Groups and Specialist Service User Bands Plaza Services Limited will provide our services to, as defined by CQC:

  • Adults 18-65

  • Adults 65+

  • Dementia

Our services will provide a comprehensive support solution that will be tailored where necessary to best suit the individual needs of each of our service users. The list of activities below represents the key areas of support we will be offering our service users:

  • Help with personal hygiene – bathing & showering etc

  • Assistance with toileting

  • Help with getting in and out of bed

  • Help getting dressed and undressed

  • Help with basic domestic chores

  • Accessing leisure and social activities

  • Support with cooking meals

  • Maintaining links with family and friends

  • Establishing new relationships and making new friends

  • Encouraging healthy lifestyles

Location

The business will be located in Warwickshire around the CV21 postcode. Support activity will be conducted in service user's own homes with the business operations being run from the business address below.

Recruitment

Plaza Services Limited will ensure that all temporary or permanent employees have been thoroughly vetted and that all necessary employment checks are completed before commencing work.

When hiring temporary or casual staff, following the principles of good practice outlined in this policy is essential.

Plaza Services Limited commits to the following principles:

Competence and Qualifications: Staff must possess the necessary qualifications, competence, skills, and experience for their roles.

Health and Well-being: Staff should be able to perform tasks intrinsic to their work after making reasonable adjustments for health conditions.

Right to Work in the UK/Identification Check

The Asylum and Immigration Act 1996 requires Plaza Services Limited to ensure that all new employees are eligible to be employed in the UK by seeing an original copy of relevant documentation (Appendix 2). Failure to do this before using an individual is a criminal offence. All shortlisted applicants are requested to bring their identification documents. Only original documents are acceptable.

In addition, Plaza Services Limited will not issue an employment contract until the necessary proof of the employee’s eligibility to work in the UK has been reviewed and confirmed as valid.

Disclosure and Barring (DBS) Checks

Plaza Services Limited’s DBS policy requires all new employees and employees moving to specific posts within the Company to undergo a DBS check. The Company will accept DBS checks carried out within the last six months.

Although having a criminal record is not a bar to employment, Plaza Services Limited will not employ individuals formally disqualified from working with children or vulnerable adults. In all other cases, the company will consider each case on its merits using criteria set out in the Company’s DBS Policy.

The company will be responsible for ensuring the DBS checks are carried out. In addition, Plaza Services Limited is responsible for cross-checking the personal file for the new starter to ensure that this has occurred and that a DBS clearance form is in the individual file before staff starts work.
